NO WAY WEEKEND

so its been a few days since i've gotten back from richmond. what a good time. the weekend started off with me dan nick and joe headed up to durham to see the pre no way show with brain handle, -\- and life trap along with tooth and claw which i didnt care to really watch. double negative played first and was really awesome. they played a couple of new songs that i have not heard before, which by the way were fucking awesome. it seeemed to be a really short set but they still killed every minute of it. after there set brain handle set up and the vocalist started bantering on whatever he wanted it was really awesome. there set was very well played and i never heard them before so i was really impresed by there performance and the sheer insanity the vocalist really witheld in himself. after there set we had a couple of hours to kill before the end of the show. tooth and claw arent really my kind of music they didnt play bad i just didnt really want to watch them play. after they played life trap showed up and played a really short set. they were really energetic and fast. i didnt get to take any pictures of them unfortunatly. after the show we all went to cosmic cantina where some drunk broad offered to by my food if i let her skip me, so i took advantage of the situation by having her by my food and seths at the same time. food was delicious. my brother informed me that the girl that bought me food fell down the stairs of the restraunt on her way out, which made me laugh a whole lot. after we ate we headed over to seths house and hung out with john popper from blues traveler. when i shook his hand he was telling me how big my hands were and shook my hand again. it was rather awkward me and joe split a 12 pack and hung out on the front porch until we crashed in seths room. i think there were like 17 people that ended up staying there. when we got up the guys from life trap cracked up a beer and lit themselves up a bowl. after everyone packed up we headed to cookout and then hit the road to richmond...

so last night was the beginning of my summer vacation! me and nick headed over to heck yeah coffee shop to go see chris's band play. which was really awesome. reminded me of pavement and like texas is the reasonesque stuff. after he played we all hung out with everyone there. and by everyone i mean everyone was there. everyone from chicago, people from the penalty box and even miss stay true was there. after a little while yardwork set up and started playing. and i cannot stress it enough that that band is one of the most energetic and fun bands i have ever seen. the feeling of leaving after there set is so euphoric or i think euphoric is the word i'm looking for but nonetheless its always a happy feeling whenever they play. after the show me and dan picked up some b33rs and went back to the apartment and hung out.
my friend elizabeth stopped by to join in on the summer festivities. after a while she left and me and dan played video games until the wee hours of the morning. today we are drinking by the pool before we headout to the bull city for the -\- show. so yea see ya at the pool.

welcome to summer

so husker du is probably one of the best bands to just listen too. its beyond me how people cannot like them. either way today was a waste of gas. i got payed today though. used half a tank to drive to concord to get my car estimated for damage on the accident, then drove to mooresville to pick up my paycheck. ate with my parents and my brother then came home and cleaned the apartment. now i'm treating myself to a beer on my newly swept back porch. no way fest in 3 days. pictures of shows to come. here are some flyers i will be taking photos at.

what happens when your stopped and hit going 30 miles an hour

so yea today has been a big heap of shit. woke up and went to go pick up my lease which i left at work the day before. so i'm getting ready to merge onto this rode posted here when i am at a complete stop some asshole decides to run into me going like 30 or so miles an hour into my behind. so yea my day has consisted of calling insurance agency's and talking to cops about what happend. on the plus side i get my tailgate fixed for free. my back is sore as shit and now i'm listening to the queers and trying to find something to do.

renaissance

so i think i'm going to go back to using this thing. consider the the re birth of neal's blogosphere. nothing much going on in life. started back at the kids home. pretty stoked on it nonetheless. a few more rad people were hired. i'm going to no way fest this weekend really stoked on that. so yea such as life...or c'est la vie.
